TIME IS COLOR is the genre-defying project created and led by pianist, composer and producer Cédric Hanriot, whose international career has seen him chosen by jazz icons including Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves and Peter Erskine, and contribute to several Grammy Award-winning projects.
More than a band, TIME IS COLOR is an immersive live experience where contemporary jazz collides with hip-hop, neo-soul and cinematic soundscapes. Blending acoustic instruments with synthesizers, electronics and cutting-edge sound design, the quartet creates music that is both emotionally powerful and irresistibly groove-driven. Every performance balances fearless improvisation with meticulous composition, delivering a concert that is as adventurous as it is accessible.
Fronted by Hanriot alongside the charismatic Franco-Cameroonian vocalist Nunny, whose unique blend of soulful singing, spoken word and rap adds another dimension to the music, the band is completed by bassist Bertrand Béruard and drummer Antonin Violot. Together, they create a compelling musical journey where jazz tradition meets the sound of today.
Internationally recognised as one of the leading voices in contemporary jazz, Hanriot has collaborated with artists including Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves, Terri Lyne Carrington, Donny McCaslin, Peter Erskine and Ibrahim Maalouf. He also contributed as pianist and sound designer to Dianne Reeves' Grammy Awardwinning album Beautiful Life.
