Louisa Lyne & di Yiddishe Kapeyle present a selection of Leonard Cohen’s poems and songs reimagined in Yiddish. This program - which the ensemble will present live now in 2025/2026 - features newly written material, where Cohen’s poetry has been translated and set to music, alongside some of his most cherished classics. The result is a heartfelt and soulful tribute that offers a unique perspective, bringing Cohen’s words even closer to his Jewish heritage.
This musical homage celebrates his remarkable life and legacy, premiered in the year he would have turned 90—2024.
