2ersitz call it Neo-Hippie-Pop. The authentic honesty with which the six friends from Leipzig go on stage has become a rarity in the German pop landscape.
Biography
In the spirit of self-love instead of self-deprecation, 2ersitz is urban music culture in action.
The neo-hippie pop band moves between hip-hop, songwriting and pop music and is known for its unconventional, German-language lyrics. The band has a vision of a better society and advocates solidarity, political awareness and activism. Their debut album deals with important topics such as climate justice, female empowerment and escape development and poses the uncomfortable question of awareness of privilege. The band doesn't let anyone tell them how to think, feel or sound and believes in the transformative power of art. 2ersitz have already attracted a lot of attention with their EPs "Kein Geld aber Liebe" and "Bei aller Liebe" and have made numerous appearances at festivals and on relevant playlists. In 2019, they were awarded the Udo Lindenberg Foundation Panic Prize for their unconventional lyrics.
Art may and can help, art may ask questions, art may answer questions! Switch off your head, switch on your heart.
